Mats are pulled from the vehicle after a brief vacuum to remove large debris. If carpet mats, they are then vacuumed thoroughly and shampooed if that option is selected by the client. If mats are rubber; they are scrubber with a high alkaline rubber cleaner, rinsed with pressurized water, left to dry, and then finished with a non-slip, rubber dressing.
Chemicals that may be used on mats include: Dark Fury, Pole Star, & Brigdepoint Flex System
Stops premature wear: Grit and sand get trapped in carpet mats and grind into the fibers (and can abrade the carpet underneath).
Prevents odors & set-in stains: Salt, mud, coffee, and organic grime soak into carpet mats—proper shampoo/extraction plus full drying keeps them from souring.
Keeps rubber mats from getting slick: Rubber/all‑weather mats build up road film and old dressing; a deep scrub restores traction so the pedal area stays safer.
Protects the floor long-term: Clean, fully-dry mats (carpet or rubber) reduce moisture sitting on the floor and help the interior stay fresher between details.
